CMS upgrades

22 November 2013

We've just completed a major task of upgrading all hosted websites to the latest version of our content management system (CMS). The latest version includes features such as:

  • the ability to create new user accounts and assign editing permissions on a per-page basis;
  • WYSIWYG editing including the ability to copy and paste formatted text, lists and links from various sources;
  • instant preview of images before they are uploaded;
  • preemptive warnings when files are too large or images in the wrong format;
  • visual cues when using the in-page DELETE function;
  • the ability to create new pages based on predefined templates; and
  • data storage using the JSON data-interchange format.

The new CMS will work in all browsers including Internet Explorer 8 and higher, though later versions allow for extra functionality.
